This is somewhat a remake of the very first game I made, Freewaay! It is a very cool very good looking fast paced racing game.

With your newly installed power ups and titanium plating such a challenge would be piece of cake, but the highway seems pretty feisty today. Do you have what it takes to make it out alive?

 Game Released: Mothership Defender 2

This one was a very cool project to do. Mainly because I had my first try at blitting which I thought was quite amazing.

It is the sequel to the previous game and I tried to add all the feedback I got, one of the main improvements was the amount of particles on screen without fps dips. Only possible due to blitting :)

So here it is and hope you enjoy it!

Came up with this idea as I was working on Ghost Mouse. It pretty much represents how I was feeling as I was coding it at 5am hehe.

 Awaiting approval: Ghost Mouse

A couple of days ago I was browsing FGL and came across this page "Your fastest game" which was quite interesting to see so many good games in such short time. So I decided to give it a shot myself.

Last night I brainstormed for about 30 minutes and came up with something called Ghost Mouse. The whole idea was to go from A to B with an invisible mouse, only later I realized I was actually making a maze game heh.

Still even being a maze game I think it's a pretty cool twist and it also features a basic maze mode where the mouse is always visible.

Currently awaiting approval so it will be released soon :)

 Game Released: Mothership Defender
Was quite fun developing this game, started just to make a quick game (actually code name was 2hourgame.swf), turned out to take 12hours but it was still great developing it especially coding the particle effects.

Explosion code was actually pretty simple, it just generated a fixed number of 2 by 2 black squares with a glow effect of a random range of red/orange colors.

Then I just rotated each of them to make a full circle and the enterframe event moves the particles forward on a random(0,1) speed.

Time your projects with Manic Time!
I've always loved every type of stats, the more info I can get on anything the better. So the only info I was missing form my flash games was time.

I didn't know exactly how long it took to make a game, I know sort of how long, 10hours, 50hours, but not an actual time.

So I went googling and found this page, http://lifehacker.com/5362829/five-best-time+tracking-applications

I tried two of those, Manic Time and Rescue Time. I didn't particularly like Rescue Time due to being browser based, it has a icon that sits in your tray gathering data and sending to a website. I preferred something that would show me the data without needing to go to a website so I tried Manic Time and it is great.

Manic Time just stays in the tray and gathers data of everything you do including window titles so even if you're working on more than one game you can still keep track of it by the window titles.

So to me it's a great program, I now know exactly how long a game or anything takes which helps me when I think how long an idea would take to become reality.
